What About the Sun?

Who doesn't love the Sun?

Well, on the surface it would make sense to go out and have fun in the sun. Right?

Not exactly.

Since the Ozone layer is being depleted, more of the damaging Ultraviolet(UV) rays is reaching you and therefore putting you at risk.

What are the risks?

Skin cancer is at top of the list. Research has shown that skin cancer is on the rise and a lot of it has to do with exposure to the sun and its damaging UV rays.

Macular degeneration is also related to sun exposure. In this case, the eye's Macula starts breaking down and therefore ruining your vision.

Solutions?

Not exactly, but there are many ways by which you can protect yourself.

  • Wear Sun Protection Clothing
  • Wear Sun Protection Hats
  • Wear UV Sunglasses
  • Stay in the shade as much as you can
  • Apply sunscreen to your exposed areas
